Abby Ticse maintains an active and diverse litigation practice. As a member of the Business and Commercial Litigation Groups, Ms. Ticse represents businesses and individuals in complex commercial matters, including financial, contractual, employment, and fiduciary disputes. She also works in conjunction with the Criminal Defense Group, and regularly defends professionals, including attorneys and judges.

Professional History

As an associate in the Business Litigation Department, Ms. Ticse represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of complex matters including contract, business, employment, and fiduciary disputes. Ms. Ticse also works with the firm's Criminal Defense Practice Group providing representation to individuals at all stages of criminal proceedings; from the initial investigation, through sentencing. In that capacity, Ms. Ticse also represents members of the Maryland bar and judiciary accused of wrongdoing.

Since joining Silverman Thompson, Ms. Ticse has represented individuals and companies at trial in both state and federal courts and has been recognized by her peers as a top business litigation attorney for 2019 and 2020.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Ticse served as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael A. DiPietro of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She graduated in the top five percent of her class from the University of Maryland School of Law and received several distinguishing honors. She also served as a Research Assistant, Staff Member of the Maryland Law Review, and a student attorney in the Consumer Protection Clinic where she regularly appeared in court to represent individuals in debt-collection matters.
