Ms. Gowda also represents individuals and entities in complex estate and trust litigation matters as well as constitutional issues, including Bivens claims against federal officers and 1983 claims.

As an Associate in the Business and Commercial Litigation Department, Ms. Gowda represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including finance, contract, business, real estate, employment, securities, and fiduciary related disputes. Ms. Gowda is involved in the firm's representation of individuals and entities in complex estate and trust litigation matters as well as constitutional issues, including Bivens claims against federal officers and 1983 claims. Ms. Gowda is involved in all aspects of litigation, from inception through resolution by settlement, dispositive motions, mediations and/or arbitrations, and support of partners at trial.
Ms. Gowda is active in the local and legal community. She is involved with the Maryland Legal Aid and provides assistance with cases on a need-to-go basis. Ms. Gowda also serves as a member of the Young Lawyers' Division of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gowda served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mark W. Crooks of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County. During law school, Chaitra was a member of the Business Law Program at University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and served as an Articles Editor on Maryland's Journal for Business and Technology Law. She spent the 2014 summer working as a student attorney with the law school's General Practice Clinic where she assisted in landlord-tenant matters and provided free legal consultation to Baltimore City local residents two days each week. Chaitra was a law clerk at Blumenthal, Delavan, Powers & Palmer, P.A. from June 2015 through December 2017. Chaitra's focus at BDPP was primarily on land use and zoning but she also assisted in general civil litigation matters.
