Partner Andrew Slutkin presented today at MICPEL’s One-Day Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Others on the described “all-star” faculty included The Honorable William D. Quarles, United States District Court for theDistrict of Maryland.

Andrew G. Slutkin has joined the firm as a partner after six years as a partner with the law firm of Snyder, Slutkin and Snyder. Mr. Slutkin will continue to concentrate in the areas of medical malpractice, catastrophic injury and complex business litigation.

On January 12, 2007, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals upheld a multi-million dollar medical malpractice verdict the firm had won against the University of Maryland Medical System. STW attorney Jamison White wrote the winning brief and argued the case before the appellate court.

Partner Steven D. Silverman was appointed by Attorney General-Elect Douglas F. Gansler to serve on his Transition Committee. Mr. Gansler, who was elected in November 2006 to the Office of Attorney General for the State of Maryland, replaces outgoing Attorney General Joe Curran. Mr. Curran has held the office since 1987.
