Firm Successfully Advocates for Censure on Behalf of Senator Currie

The Maryland Senate unanimously voted Friday to censure Maryland Sen. Ulysses Curie. Sen.Currie was represented by Silverman Thompson retired Court of Appeals Judge Joseph Murphy before the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics. Mr. Murphy argued that censure was the appropriate sanction-not expulsion-after Sen.Currie was acquitted by a federal jury for allegedly accepting inappropriate money from a grocery store chain.
