Keira Sherper joined Silverman Thompson as an associate attorney in 2025, where she focuses her practice on criminal defense and civil litigation.

After graduating first in her class from the University of Baltimore School of Law, Ms. Sherper completed a judicial clerkship in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She returned to Silverman Thompson after two years of working as a law clerk with the firm during school.

While completing her law degree, Ms. Sherper also competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition and served as a teaching assistant and research assistant. Additionally, while at the University of Baltimore School of Law, she provided direct representation to clients in Maryland District Court and post-conviction proceedings as a Rule 19 student attorney with the University of Baltimore’s Criminal Defense and Advocacy Clinic.

Prior to law school, Ms. Sherper obtained a master’s degree in forensic psychology from George Washington University and worked as a litigation paralegal for four years.
