Silverman Thompson Takes Leadership Role in Securing $190 Million Settlement

Johns Hopkins Hospital will pay $190 million to settle claims stemming from the conduct of Dr. Nikita A. Levy. Dr. Levy, a gynecologist employed by Johns Hopkins, was accused of inappropriately filming thousands of his patients during medical examinations. These images and video where stored on multiple servers at the doctor's home.

Today it was announced that preliminary approval has been granted by a Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge that clears the way for what is believed to be the the largest class action settlement of its kind. Silverman Thompson represents a number of the plaintiffs, is on the Plaintiff's Steering Committee, and heads the Minority Claimants Committee.
