Firm Welcomes University of Baltimore School of Law Fellow Anthony Hordowicz

We’re proud to introduce Anthony Hordowicz as our 2026 University of Baltimore School of Law Fellow. Each year, this fellowship gives us the opportunity to connect with a standout law student and bring them into the day-to-day work of our firm.
Our University of Baltimore School of Law Fellowship is designed to support a promising student through financial assistance and hands-on experience working alongside our attorneys. At the end of their first year, fellows are awarded a two-year scholarship, a one-year fellowship stipend, and a position in the firm’s summer associate and law clerk programs.
Anthony is a Maryland native who graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019 with a B.S. in kinesiology. Before starting law school, he spent several years working in healthcare as a physical therapy technician, a role that had a lasting impact on his legal trajectory. Anthony saw firsthand what strong legal representation can mean for someone going through a difficult time. He regularly communicated with attorneys representing patients in personal injury matters, which gave him early insight into how the legal system supports recovery and accountability.
“Working in physical therapy demanded a lot out of me to produce quality work, regardless of the amount of work,” Anthony shared. “We’d have a lot of patients at once, and you have to give the same level of attention to every single one. Maintaining a high level of effort, regardless of how much I have on my plate, has helped a lot in law school and probably will as an attorney.”
That experience also shaped how he approaches communication. “We’d have a lot of patients that came in feeling the absolute worst they ever have. You’d get people on their worst day,” he said. “I think that’s directly applicable to being an attorney.”
“Anthony is a strong student with great potential. We’re excited to have him join us and continue to grow his skills here,” said Managing Partner Steven D. Silverman.
We’ve built a strong, long-standing relationship with the University of Baltimore School of Law over the years, and many of our attorneys got their start there before building their careers in Baltimore. The fellowship process is always competitive, and we’re proud to select a top-performing student each year. It’s one of the ways we stay invested in the future of the Baltimore legal community by offering mentorship and hands-on experience to the next generation.
Anthony is already looking forward to what’s ahead. “I love the city. I love Baltimore,” he said. “I really look forward to practicing here, and Silverman Thompson is a fantastic place to start doing that.”
We’re also always excited to see what our former fellows go on to accomplish in their legal careers. This year, we welcomed back our 2022 fellow, Keira Sherper, as an associate.
