Hon. Joseph F. Murphy, Jr. (Ret.) Joins Law Firm
We are pleased to announce that Joseph F. Murphy, Jr. who retired from the Maryland Court of Appeals on September 30, 2011, has joined Silverman Thompson and is now heading the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution practice. He will provide mediation and arbitration services in a new state-of-the-art facility located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. He will also be available to consult on select complex civil and appellate matters.
Judge Murphy has been both a trial and appellate judge since 1983. Prior to sitting on Maryland’s highest court, he served as the Chief Judge of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, and as a Baltimore County Circuit Court judge.
