Kurt E. Nachtman joins Silverman Thompson as a partner following 12 years as founder and managing partner at Eldridge, Nachtman and Crandell, LLC (formerly Eldridge and Nachtman) and five as an assistant state’s attorney for the Baltimore City State’s Attorneys Office.
At Silverman Thompson, Mr. Nachtman practices across the personal injury, criminal defense, and business litigation practice groups, where he manages complex cases spanning various disciplines.
Mr. Nachtman has extensive trial experience alongside his history of obtaining favorable settlements for clients. He is known by clients and peers for his strong courtroom presence, dedication to his clients, and attention to detail.

Mr. Nachtman has conducted approximately 30 jury trials in various state courts and negotiated countless settlements, with some of the most notable including:
- In 2024, successfully negotiated a complex auto manslaughter case to the lowest count utilizing expert to negotiate plea
- Obtained $330,000 jury verdict in Prince George’s County for an injury relating to a dog attack
- Obtained a jury verdict that was four times the last settlement offer from the insurance company despite the fact that the client identified the wrong leg as being injured in the middle of the trial
- Negotiated a $1,000,000 settlement in a death arising from a motor vehicle collision
- Successfully argued a Motion to Dismiss a criminal case based upon Maryland Equal Rights Act
- In his first case in private practice, Mr. Nachtman was able to investigate and solve an unsolved death for a daughter and negotiate a civil resolution with the perpetrator to help bring closure to that family
